1. Not a Healthcare Provider
BookMyPhysio.lk is a technology platform that connects patients ("Patients," "you") with independent, registered physiotherapists ("Practitioners") for home-visit physiotherapy sessions. BookMyPhysio.lk is not a hospital, clinic, or healthcare provider. We do not employ Practitioners as staff, and we do not provide, supervise, or control the clinical physiotherapy services delivered during any session, the responsibility of which fully falls on the relevant physiotherapist.
All physiotherapy assessments, treatment plans, and interventions are provided solely by the Practitioner you book, exercising their own independent clinical judgment.
2. No Medical Advice
Content on this website, including blog posts, FAQs, and condition guides, is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a substitute for an in-person clinical assessment by a qualified practitioner. Always consult a registered medical practitioner regarding any health condition and seek immediate medical attention for emergencies.
3. Practitioner Verification
We take reasonable steps to verify that Practitioners listed on the Platform hold valid registration with the regulatory authority (Sri Lanka Medical Council); hold relevant qualifications; are of good standing and expected to uphold ethical practice. However:
- We do not independently verify the ongoing competence, clinical judgment, or day-to-day conduct of any Practitioner.
- Registration status, qualifications, and references are provided by Practitioners at onboarding and may change; we encourage Patients to ask Practitioners directly about their credentials.
- Listing on the Platform is not an endorsement, guarantee, or warranty of a Practitioner's skill, suitability for a specific condition, or outcome of treatment.
4. Home Visit Risks
Home-visit physiotherapy involves inherent risks distinct from clinic-based care, including but not limited to limited access to emergency equipment, variable environmental conditions, and reliance on accurate information provided by the Patient about their home environment and medical history. By booking a home visit, the Patient acknowledges and accepts these risks.
5. Emergency Situations
BookMyPhysio.lk is not an emergency medical service. If you or someone you are caring for is experiencing a medical emergency (e.g., chest pain, difficulty breathing, suspected stroke, severe injury, loss of consciousness), call emergency services (1990 Suwa Seriya or your nearest hospital) immediately. Do not use the Platform to seek emergency care.
6. No Doctor-Patient or Guaranteed Outcome Relationship with the Platform
Use of the Platform does not create a doctor-patient, physiotherapist-patient, or any clinical relationship between you and BookMyPhysio.lk. That relationship exists solely between you and the Practitioner you engage. We make no representations or warranties regarding treatment outcomes, recovery times, or the effectiveness of any treatment received through the Platform.
7. Payment of Consultation Fees to Practitioners
The Platform does not accept any payments and is not involved in the handling of consultation fees payable to Practitioners. The Platform assumes no responsibility regarding payment disputes.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Sri Lankan law, BookMyPhysio.lk shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, injury, loss, or harm arising from:
- Clinical care or advice provided by a Practitioner;
- A Patient's or Practitioner's failure to disclose accurate medical or contact information;
- Reliance on general informational content on the Platform; or
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., Practitioner non-attendance, third-party service failures).
